We are pleased to announce that Mary Warmus has joined our practice as Partner in charge of our firm's Valuation Practice.

Mary has over 25 years of experience valuing closely-held businesses and intellectual property for tax, mergers and acquisitions, business strategy, ESOP formation and business litigation purposes. Prior to her career in business valuation, Mary was a tax consultant where she focused on research and compliance issues for various corporations, partnerships and high net-worth individuals. 

Mary earned her Master of Business Administration from Loyola University of Chicago and her Bachelor of Science in Commerce with a major in Accountancy form DePaul University.  She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA).  

Mary's principal business valuation experience is in the following sectors: manufacturing, distribution, printing, agriculture, professional and financial services, healthcare, logistics, computer software and consulting, and investment holding companies, including partnerships. Mary has served as an expert witness in both federal bankruptcy court and state court in the domestic relations division.

Mary is an adjunct professor at DePaul University teaching the Tax Valuations course in the Master of Science in Taxation program.  She is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, American Society of Appraisers, Association for Corporate Growth, Illinois CPA Society, Business Valuation Association, and the Chicago Estate Planning Council.  Mary also volunteers her time to a number of civic, religious and charitable organizations.

As a member of the Fort Dearborn team, Mary will also be available to render financial and solvency opinions on transactional matters.
