Mark has more than 14 years of diverse experience in management consulting and public accounting. Mark has worked with clients in manufacturing, distribution, not-for-profit, retail, and e-commerce in a variety of turnaround and restructuring roles. Mark has developed turnaround and operating plans, performed financial, cash flow, borrowing base, and loan covenant forecasting, managed cash and vendor payments, identified accounting errors and corrected accounting records, and acted as the liaison between lenders and owner groups in a variety of distressed situations, both in and out of court. Mark has experience in business valuations and both sell-side and buy-side M&A engagements for both healthy and distressed companies.
Prior to joining Fort Dearborn, Mark worked at Protiviti, a global consulting firm, where he leveraged his public accounting experience to assist clients' management teams with pre-IPO readiness and internal controls implementation initiatives across the technology, consumer packaged goods, and distribution industries. Mark began his career in Deloitte's audit practice, where he audited global Fortune 500 companies in consumer packaged goods and manufacturing, as well as large transportation, manufacturing, and food processing companies.
In his spare time, Mark enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, playing music, traveling, and cooking.
