Fort Dearborn Partners, Inc. is pleased to announce that Alice Chan has joined our team as a director. Alice brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from 20 years working for public accounting firms and in private industry.
During her years in public accounting, Alice participated in the planning, execution, reporting, and completion of financial audits of both public and private companies. Alice has experience in a range of industries such as manufacturing, distribution, wholesale, professional services, and not-for-profits.
Alice has expertise in cash management, accounting system implementation, financial, regulatory, and SEC reporting, and accounting process improvement for privately held and public companies. She served as financial controller with a mid-sized private company where she led the accounting, IT, and HR departments, managed the annual budget and quarterly forecast process, and developed banking relationships through negotiation and procurement of debt financing. She guided the company through a loan workout, fulfilling all bank reporting requirements, including daily cash flow forecasts, borrowing bases and loan covenant compliance calculations. She led the accounting and financial due diligence in connection with the sale of the company.

Alice earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin at Madison and is a licensed CPA.
